A Maintenance I performs all complex mechanical equipment repairs. They perform routine CNC maintenance, demonstrate high proficiency in tasks, communicate with various contacts, and facilitate team activities, contributing to business targets and mentoring junior members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct residential electrical work, maintain non-technical equipment, and install electrical conduit. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical equipment such as hydraulic presses, manual mills, manual lathes, and limited mechanical portions of CNCs. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including checking spindle runout, inspecting covers, checking for leaks, and performing vibration monitoring for critical motors/spindles. Accurately level a CNC using machine levels. Demonstrate high reliability, competency, and proficiency with assigned tasks. Work to support the achievement of business targets with moderate impact on departmental results. Communicate with contacts within and outside of the function. Facilitate team activities and contribute to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.
