About The Position

This position performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conducts routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Two years’ experience in maintenance field
  • One year experience as an Industrial Mechainc or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals, and other instructional materials.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak and communicate with other employees of the organization.
  • Must read, write and communicate in English.
  • Proficient in math to the level of algebraic equations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables and resolve in a logical manner.
  • Must have good typing skills.
  • Must have knowledge of maintenance and mechanical terminology.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office software.
  • In addition to the above outlined criteria for advancements the team member must demonstrate leadership skills, knowledge of Plant processes pertaining to work area and be an active participant in Plant programs to ensure the Lamb Weston values are maintained.
