About The Position

The Maintenance I position at Kaweah Health involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for hospital facilities and equipment under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the healthcare environment, contributing to the overall quality of care provided to patients.

Requirements

• Valid California Drivers License with no driving infractions in the past 5 years.
• Two years of maintenance related experience.
• If assigned to Construction Services, one year of construction experience in any trade such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, framing, drywall, painting, concrete, cabinetry, or flooring.
• Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Makes necessary mechanical repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or replacement of parts.
• Assembles and installs new equipment for use throughout the hospital and related departments.
• Inspects and tests designated equipment routinely to perform preventative maintenance, ensuring smooth and continued functioning.
• Picks up and delivers designated items as required.
• Keeps accurate records of assigned tasks regarding time, equipment, tools, and supplies used.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
