About The Position

The district is in need of a full time maintenance HVAC mechanic effective immediately. Applicants for HVAC Mechanic must be able to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the schools. As well as work with various types of HVAC equipment, including boilers, VRFs, rooftop units and control systems. They will also be required to assist other trades, ensure safety, and may be required to work evening and weekends. Must have at least three years of experience.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and tools.
• Understanding of safety practices and regulations.
• Basic computer skills for using software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and repair HVAC equipment and components.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions.
• Operate and maintain various HVAC equipment, including central heating.
• Ensure safe working practices and comply with safety regulations.
• Communicate with school personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Assist other trades as needed.
