About The Position

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Deaconess Aquatic Center Facilities Director, the full-time Maintenance/Housekeeping personnel is responsible for ensuring a high level of cleanliness, sanitary, and attractive facility. Complete required abuse risk management training. Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements. Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities. Ensures unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker rooms and bathrooms), etc..

Requirements

  • Have an outstanding work ethic, dependable, task focused
  • Have an attitude of caring, and service
  • Understand the importance of Housekeeping has to the mission of the YMCA
  • Must be able to pass the Certified Pool Operator Exam
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen and Blood Borne Pathogen training required within 60 days of employment.
  • Child Abuse Prevention training required before/on first day of work.
