Work may involve setting up machinery a nd equipment , tearing down , and overhauling equipment such as gear boxes . Job Tasks: Inspect, operate , or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear. Test mechanical to ensure proper functioning. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, and hand tools, or power tools. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Operate hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance. Inspect mechanical components to identify problems. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Trouble shoot electrical controls and components, and repair as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
  • General mathematics ability required to perform job
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
  • Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures
  • Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends)
