The Maintenance Helper position involves providing mechanical maintenance help to maintain equipment reliability in a key operating area of the facility. Maintenance helpers must have knowledge of safe work practices and the ability to contribute and learn in areas such as mechanical maintenance, welding, rotating equipment, electrical & instrumentation, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Responsibilities include assisting in diagnosing, repairing, modifying, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment, learning mechanical/electrical prints, and accurately completing administrative documents.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Technical Training Preferred.
• Must be able to troubleshoot issues and make corrections.
• Basic tool knowledge.
• Basic technical troubleshooting.
• Lubrication fundamentals.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical maintenance help to maintain equipment reliability.
• Assist in diagnosing, repairing, modifying, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Learn mechanical/electrical prints, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Accurately complete administrative documents and follow directions in an industrial environment.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by immediate supervisor.
