About The Position

BonnaVilla is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join the Chief team. This position assists the maintenance department with outside grounds maintenance, facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and various janitorial duties. Assist materials department as a parts runner. Requirements

Requires experience with or must be able to learn operation of outside yard equipment, simple hand tools and cleaning equipment generally gained in less than three months on-the-job experience.
Requires the ability to read and understand MSDS labeling of chemicals used in the cleaning process.
Must have a valid drivers license to operate company vehicles and powered industrial trucks.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform seasonal outside work such as mowing, trimming, spraying weeds, removing debris, shoveling snow etc.
Use proper cleaning supplies to clean areas such as restrooms, lunch room, various production areas etc. Methods may involve sweeping, vacuuming or other appropriate means.
Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance as assigned, i.e. filters replacement in heaters and air conditioners, check emergency lighting and fire extinguishers, etc.
Drive company vehicle to pick up parts from supply stores.
Perform routine replacement of light bulbs, minor plumbing, and other common repairs utilizing simple hand tools.
Manually empty trash containers collected from areas of responsibility into commercially provided dumpsters. Monitors contents of dumpsters to prevent disposal of unauthorized material.
Keep accurate record of time worked on time card.
