About The Position

The maintenance helper will aid in completion of required preventive maintenance and repairs as directed by the site manager/lead and/or designee. In addition, maintenance helper will support janitorial needs as needed, directed by Site Lead.

Requirements

• Entry Level Handyman
• High School Diploma, G.E.D or Equivalent
• One to Three years
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, climb ladders or stairs and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair/replace equipment/requested for building and grounds needs, including but not limited to, touch up and repair painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lighting, furniture moves, event set ups and tear downs.
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance work as identified by Site Lead.
• Complete any other tasks identified by Site manager/lead, to include supporting the janitorial staff. ( i.e. floor cleanings, deep cleaning classrooms, bathrooms.
