About The Position

Maintenance Helper assists maintenance technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and facilities in a variety of settings. They play an important role in supporting professional maintenance teams and ensuring that equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of maintenance principles and practices
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Regular Class “E” Driver’s License
  • Must have 1-2 years of work experience in maintenance that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Regular attendance is required during your scheduled shift.
  • Sitting, Walking, Standing, Kneeling, Crawling, Climbing, and Reaching
  • Lifting occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance technicians with a variety of tasks, including:
  • Installing and repairing equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and testing equipment
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems
  • Moving and lifting heavy objects
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear.
  • Be willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain records.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
