About The Position

Join our team as a Maintenance Helper and be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. As a Maintenance Helper, you'll provide foundational support to our experienced maintenance staff, assisting with various tasks to maintain our business environment. Responsibilities include performing routine checks, addressing minor repairs, and aiding in project completion. Your efforts contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming space, minimizing downtime, and extending the lifespan of our assets.

Requirements

High school diploma required; additional technical education preferred.
Relevant coursework in mechanical repairs, electrical systems, and general maintenance.
Hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
Mechanical Repair: Attention to detail in maintaining machinery.
Electrical Systems: Troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
Plumbing: Identifying and fixing leaks and clogs.
HVAC Systems: Assisting in routine service checks and minor repairs.

Nice To Haves

Previous work assisting skilled maintenance technicians is beneficial.
Some may pursue majors or specializations in facilities maintenance or industrial technology.

Responsibilities

Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment.
Support skilled tradespeople in complex repair tasks, providing tools and hands-on assistance.
Participate in building inspections to identify repair needs and safety hazards.
Facilitate event setup and breakdown by arranging furniture and equipment.
Execute minor building repairs such as patching walls and fixing door handles.
Maintain outdoor areas through landscaping and snow removal.
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
Perform emergency custodial duties as needed.
