Job Summary Provide support for custodial and maintenance teams. Perform lighting maintenance and floor maintenance where needed throughout the district. This entails replacing light bulbs as needed and installing new ballasts to convert lights to LED . Additionally, this role will be asked to help several different team members and trades as needed.   • Provides excellent customer service by listening to the customer’s concerns then communicating with the customer before, during and after the work is done.
  • Replace light bulbs in a variety of fixtures throughout the buildings.
  • Convert existing light fixtures from CFL to LED
  • Learn and implement electrical safety standards
  • Prep and paint mechanical room floors.
  • Floor maintenance – strip, burnish, polish, wax, paint, seal, etc.
  • Follows Supervisor’s instructions to ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Performs planned maintenance within various facilities.
  • Assists in maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Transports supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance projects.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • One year of related experience; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and related tools or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb step ladders/scaffolding; and, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
  • A Utah driver’s license may be required.
