Maintenance Helper - 1st Shift
About The Position
The principle tasks of the Maintenance Helper are as follows: 1. Collects cardboard and refuse from all departments; moves to operates compactors and bailers. Performs minor maintenance on same. 2. Operates sweeper and performs minor maintenance to same such as changing brushes, belts, filters, and tires. 3. Assists other maintenance personnel in the performance of their normally assigned duties. 4. Performs general maintenance such as changing light bulbs, cleaning drains, replacing faucet washers, cleaning and painting of equipment, etc. 5. Coordinates with the department Supervisor on any equipment or material problems. 6. Maintains service records on boilers, compactors, and sweeper. 7. Performs housekeeping duties as required or assigned. 8. Adheres to all plant and departmental safety rules.
