About The Position

The Maintenance Helper position at Elwood Staffing involves supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring productivity goals are met and participating in quality improvement initiatives. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of production activities and requires a strong background in manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of a strong manufacturing background preferred.
• Good general knowledge of manufacturing processes including Hot Form, CNC machining, and Chemical processing at an average level.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments (800 - 1400 degrees) and stand for long periods while wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily production activity within the cell to support takt time requirements.
• Identify and understand daily, weekly, and monthly goal performance requirements and actual performance.
• Ensure individual operations are on track to meet daily productivity goals.
• Complete required training related to safety, employee empowerment, quality, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement by participating in kaizens, pitch board meetings, gemba walks, and daily hand-offs for the off shift.
• Participate in reviews and corrective actions for cell non-conformances.
