About The Position

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing the maintenance and repairs needed and/or assigned to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient operation of the facility and its machines.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assists in troubleshooting and expediting repairs of essential machines and production equipment as needed.
• Performs changeovers on equipment as dictated by production schedules.
• Performs minor electrical work: replacing wall bulbs, light sockets and switches.
• Performs minor plumbing work: repair of leaks in water supplies, drains, faucets and laboratory fixtures. Clears obstructions from drain lines.
• Performs minor carpentry projects: repairs walls and furnishings, patches or replaces plaster/plaster board, paints walls and woodwork.
• Performs periodic standard inspections and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Plan, organize work, and meet all deadlines.
• Ensure all flammable materials are stored in OSHA and EPA-approved container devices.
• May provide assistance to more skilled workers performing installation, adjustment, maintenance, parts, replacement, and repairs.
• Report any serious maintenance problems or safety hazards to the facilities supervisor and safety.
• Drive and pick up/transport parts.
• Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
