About The Position

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Maintenance Helper in Southeast Washington, DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The Maintenance Helper will assist with maintenance and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as architectural and structural building components, including interior and entrance doors, floor systems, roof systems, and windows. The role includes performing preventative maintenance functions such as changing filters, maintaining cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, rigging, chillers, and plate heat exchangers. The position may require working from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance field required.
• Must be able to obtain HSPD-12 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain architectural and structural building components.
• Perform preventative maintenance functions including filters, cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, and cleaning floor drains.
• Work from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms as needed.
