About The Position

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Group Leader located in Freeport, TX. The Mining, Storage, Pipeline & Infrastructure Maintenance Group Leader (MGL) will be responsible for all daily maintenance activities for Stratton Ridge, Site Pipeline, Site Infrastructure and Emergency Services & Security. The MGL provides leadership and guidance on the Global Maintenance Work Process and the progression of department productivity goals. The MGL will function as a liaison to supplement and support the MAC role when gaps exist between maintenance and operate plant (or other functions). This role has a shared responsibility and accountability for the plant assets, personnel and achievement of business goals. The MGL provides an administrative people leadership resource to maintenance personnel. Stratton Ridge is 3,300 acres of storage, mining and pipeline equipment. Site Pipeline geographically covers 84 square miles and is responsible for the maintenance on underground pipelines, above ground OSBL pipelines and pipe racks. Pipeline also maintains the entire cathodic protection grid for Texas Operations. Site Infrastructure and Emergency Services and Security have recently been added to this zone. Site Infrastructure includes Site Building/Admin, IT/Cabling and offsite guest facilities. This zone also manages the maintenance and reliability of all Emergency Services and Security equipment, for example plant guard buildings and gates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (e.g. maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or related experience in productivity, planning, scheduling or turnarounds).
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree OR relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.

  • Process Management & Continuous Improvement: Drives operational excellence by implementing global maintenance work processes and using performance metrics to identify and act on improvement opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Fosters EH&S engagement, particularly in the field and in the areas of personal safety and compliance. A clear focus will exist on creating a Highly Reliable Organizational culture and the elimination of unplanned events by implementing reliability and maintenance services and solutions.
  • Collaborates with maintenance budget team to communicate results to leadership
  • Completes the requirements of the Performance Management Process for Maintenance direct reports which is leveraged to support meaningful opportunities for leader/employee engagement. This includes coaching and career development.
  • Performs appropriate manage function roles as determined by plant and site.
  • Acts as a primary back-up to the Maintenance Leader.
  • Implements and provides on-going support of the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy at the facility.
  • Ensures all Maintenance Procedures will include a hazard assessment indicating safety, health and environmental considerations and control measures to prevent contact or exposure.
