Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview. Position Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing all mill equipment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must be able to read, write, and have simple math skills.
Must have good oral and written communication skills; legible handwriting is a must.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to obtain a forklift certification and a hot work certification.
Specialized equipment training (tractor and lawn mower) will be required.
Basic computer skills for operating TMCS.
Experience with 480 volt and 3 phase motor wiring, gearbox installation.

Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance on all mill equipment including record keeping. (40%)
Repair and maintain all equipment in the mill. (30%)
Troubleshoots mechanical devices regarding the mill equipment.10%
Util i zes com p uter based p r eventive ma i ntena n ce program with eq uipm e nt histories to write work orders and ensure co m pleti o n o f sc h edu le d maintenance and/or repair work. (10%)

Such as: Refers to Mill Mana g ement in coordin a te activities o f external vendors, Keep assigne d housekeep i ng areas clean, disinf e ct e d and pressure washed as needed and other outside landscaping a s need e d (m o wing, wee d ‐ e ating), Follow all Blow Down Permits, Learns operation o f all mill equ i pm e nt, Installs/connects electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, cables and terminal boards, Adjusts functional parts o f devices an d control instruments, Reports machinery defects o r malfu n ct io ns to super v isor (10%)
