About The Position

Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners. Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. Assists with moving of residents’ furnishings as needed. Paints residents' living quarters as needed. Assists with grounds keeping, weeding, mulching, and snow-removal.

Requirements

• High level of organizational skills and be flexible on the job
• Must be able to work on roofs and ladders
• Skilled in using a variety of power tools and equipment
• Knowledge and ability to maintain lawn care equipment and be able to safely operate it if assigned
• Basic Computer skills are helpful
• Ability to respond within the 40-minute response time for on call or emergency call ins
• Must have excellent time management skills, strong attendance and work performance history.
• Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all personnel
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
• Must have patience, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm handling difficult situations
• Follow a good sense of hygiene.
