About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the farms underlying framework and features of its systems, houses, office, mechanical needs, and preventative measures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for preventive maintenance program for systems and houses in assigned areas.
Adjusts or replaces parts on devices and control instruments, repairs or replaces defective parts; reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
Connects electrical wiring and cables, installs lighting, switches, wall boxes, terminal boards, waterlines, gas lines, feed lines, heaters, fans, motors, belt replacements, and curtains.
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice such as: follows lock out/tag out guidelines and procedures; performs weekly testing of generators.
