About The Position
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for all repairs to motors (electric/gas/diesel) and electrical equipment Maintain and operate all farm equipment Maintain all motors and engines throughout the farm Develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program Develop and maintain a detailed Parts Inventory Plan Assist in maintaining the farm grounds Adhere to all Animal Welfare Standards and biosecurity program regulations Learn essential farm animal husbandry practices Other duties as assigned; inclusive of all farm work responsibilities, cooperating with others as needed to complete necessary tasks QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of all farm equipment Ability to operate farm equipment safely and effectively Strong mechanic and basic electrical and plumbing background required Welding skills required Ability to develop and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program and Parts Inventory Plan Ability to use time wisely while working independently Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals Excellent observation skills and attention to detail, eager to learn new ideas Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as required
Requirements
