About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work/experience and/or education.
  • Basic computer knowledge/skills.
  • Ability to work with 480 volt 3 phase electricity.
  • Experience with pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical automated process control systems, PLC operations, inverters, and basic electricity.
  • Possess mechanical skills.
  • Good troubleshooting skills.
  • Dependable and responsible.
  • Safety oriented and willing to follow Core Safety mandates.
  • Willing to work 5-6 days a week with overtime.
  • Willing to stoop, bend, climb ladders, and work overhead.
  • Flexible to work in cold and/or hot temperatures.
  • Willing to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment daily and weekly.
  • Conduct troubleshooting activities daily.
  • Be proactive in reducing downtime on all mechanical equipment.
  • Weld using appropriate tools as necessary.
  • Work with 480 volt 3 phase electricity.
  • Work with pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical automated process control systems, PLC operations, inverters, and basic electricity.
