About The Position

Schedule: Wednesday 10PM (half day), Thursday and Friday 12-hour shifts (4PM-4AM), every other weekend unless mandatory per management. Pay: based on experience Job description: This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly. This position will also assist with the tracking of daily attendance rosters and assist with and train new hires or any team members requiring re-training. Team Member in this position serve as the liaison between the Supervisor and Team Members, to ensure all directions given by the Supervisor are understood and carried out in a timely manner and will communicate all issues of quality to the Supervisor. In addition, this position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and completing preventative maintenance on different area of the plant; ensuring maintenance team members respond to calls as these calls are received by going to the area where they are needed. Maintenance Generalist Lead is also responsible for overseeing all the Maintenance activity to ensure that all production matters are handled as fast, effective, and efficient as possible. The Maintenance Lead will be a part of the HAZMAT team and will assist the Supervisor as needed. Good verbal and written communication skills are needed in this position to read and communicate instructions for repairs/installations, and to effectively communicate any issues/problems to the Supervisor. Team member in this position must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to stand and walk for duration of the shift and be able and willing to work on elevated platforms and lift equipment up to 30 feet above ground level.

Requirements

  • 6 months of industrial maintenance experience listed on the application or currently enrolled at an industrial maintenance program, or one year of classroom training from a technical college. (food industry preferred)
  • Maintenance will be considered work in mechanic, fabricator, electrician, or plant maintenance
