About The Position

The position involves monitoring equipment during production and making necessary repairs or adjustments. The successful candidate will document any corrections required and perform preventive maintenance on weekends. Responsibilities also include rebuilding equipment as required, assisting with the installation of new equipment, and providing maintenance throughout the entire facility. The role requires manual tasks such as greasing, changing oil, and cleaning various plant equipment, as well as monitoring equipment and computer boards. Troubleshooting mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints is essential, and the candidate must be willing to work other shifts when necessary. Compliance with safety rules, including Lockout/Tagout and OSHA standards, is mandatory. Weekend work is required, and the candidate will work closely with other maintenance personnel to communicate job-related information. The role demands the ability to work with fragile devices requiring precise attention and to perform various physical tasks, including moving equipment over 40 pounds, bending, turning, stooping, twisting, climbing, and tolerating various climate conditions. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as the ability to complete mandatory online training.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months of Maintenance Experience.
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Document any corrections required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on weekends.
  • Rebuild equipment as required.
  • Assist with installation of new equipment.
  • Assist with maintenance throughout the entire facility as required.
  • Manually grease, change oil, and clean various plant equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and computer boards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics and blueprints.
  • Work other shifts when necessary.
  • Understand and follow Safety Rules (Lockout/Tagout).
  • Comply with OSHA standards.
  • Work closely with other maintenance personnel to communicate job-related information.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by the supervisor.
