About The Position

This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to trouble shooting, repair, fabrication, and preventive maintenance of all facility equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires responding to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handling emergency situations, performing preventive maintenance according to schedule, and preparing written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. The candidate must comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs, and must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs without supervision. The position also involves working in varying temperatures and conditions, and requires physical capabilities such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Must have 1 year of industrial maintenance or like experience.
  • Must have at least 6 months of continuous work history with the same employer within the last 12 months or attend technical school or training within the last 12 months.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel.
  • Ability to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets.
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.
  • Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
  • Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • Comply with lockout/tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.
  • Assist with other mechanics as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
