About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at Nestlé is responsible for ensuring that machines and tools are in optimal working condition to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions. This role involves performing a complete range of maintenance, repair, and service activities while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The technician plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and quality standards within the facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance or HVAC technical degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with maintaining general building systems preferred but not required.
• Experience with painting and repair of building systems preferred but not required.
• SAP and/or AMM experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in building and grounds care maintenance or related work preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Technical diploma preferred but not required with experience.
• Experience in pneumatic/hydraulic systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience in monitoring and maintaining plant utility systems such as boilers and air compressors.
• Additional trade skills such as welding, carpentry, and plumbing could be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the cross training of Maintenance Team and other Team Members.
• Recommends improvements to reduce cost, production downtime and increase efficiency in area of responsibility.
• Implements approved improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Applies effective troubleshooting skills consistently.
• Interprets engineering drawings, manufacturer's instructions, and plant maintenance procedures.
• Maintains positive working relationships with team members and communicates effectively with management.
• Demonstrates proper care of tools and instruments required for job assignments.
• Ensures all machinery is in safe working condition and adheres to safety policies.
• Strictly follows Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures.
• Completes assigned work orders on time, including scheduled, emergency, and preventative maintenance work orders.
