About The Position

The purpose of General Maintenance is to be responsible for keeping the plant clean while assuring proper functioning of the machines.

Requirements

• Must have 3 year maintenance experience
• Lifting is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. weights of 1 to 100 pounds 0 - 100 times per shift.)
• Standing is required, varies per shift. (1 to 50 times per shift for intervals of 5 minutes to 10 hours.)
• Reaching is required, varies per shift. (Tools, parts, etc. 1 to 50 times per hour.)
• Stooping is required, varies per shift. (1 to 20 times per hour for intervals of 1 minute to 1 hour.)
• Bending is required, varies per shift. (For tools, parts, to do work 1 to 30 times per hour.)
• Must operate hand, power, and shop tools, varies per shift, (1 to 50 times per shift.)
• Must be able to distinguish color shade differences.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Normal mobility, no abnormal fear of heights or confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred knowledge of Coaters, cut order tables and off line roll up machines
• Must have experience chains, sprockets and bearing of different sizes and configuration
• Knowledge of air compressors, boilers, chillers and conveyor systems a plus
• Must be self-motived and have problem solving skills
• Electrical trouble shooting skills and ability to use a multi-meter and amp clamp a plus
• Proficient use of welding equipment and cutting torches.
• Must be willing to work 1 st shift hours When needed

• Perform any other duties as assigned
• Call ins is a required on occasion
• Overtime is required on occasion
