General Objectives: Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Advisor Asset Health is a salary exempt role that typically works a 4-3 schedule. The role of the Maintenance Advisor Asset Health is intended to focus on managing asset reliability, training, & long-term maintenance improvement efforts. This role is also accountable for ensuring that all equipment performance targets and work management KPIs are achieved within the constraints of the maintenance budget. Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties: The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Supervise Reliability engineer, PDM techs, Minecare techs, and trainers. Oversee MMOP Training Program and Training Budget. Managing the performance of his\her team through relevant Performance Objectives. Supervise/coordinate the development and delivery of reliability, training, and maintenance improvement efforts. Complete performance evaluation reviews for direct reports and manage their career development with an annual plan. Provide facilitation and support for site OE Projects. Provide facilitation support for the management of change associated with the acquisition of new equipment as required. Research and write AFE’s for potential new mining equipment. Oversite for providing accurate monthly accruals to accounting group as it pertains to assigned areas. Assist with Budget & Forecast variances for Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual comparisons with assumptions into a summary document. Oversite of development and updating of all Maintenance Strategies and Budgets for open pit assets Provide facilitation and support for Maintenance Process workshops Liaise with Supply Chain to expedite external parts and contractor labor suppliers, where necessary. Support Marigold Contract Management, by participating in negotiations of new service contracts, assigning contract representatives, and monitoring adherence to the standard. Oversee Scheduling of all routine reliability activities (work orders) in consultation with Production and Maintenance, including short-term changes to the maintenance schedules based upon Production, Maintenance and Supply requirements. Ensure quality work packets are provided to the Maintenance Supervisors for all routine maintenance activities to ensure quality and efficient work execution. Seek detailed work completion information from the Maintenance Supervisors and resolve any issues, as necessary. Report on standard maintenance measures that are directly related to the production fleets – namely: availability, mean repair duration, mean time between maintenance, component usage and cost (actual versus budget) on a monthly basis. Provide input and feedback to Reliability Engineer to assist in improving overall equipment performance. Spend time in the field – (VFL) Visible Felt Leadership” – engaging with the workforce, ~30% of working time. Support quality incident investigations (injury, significant near-miss, equipment damage and premature component failures), complete with detailed RCA (root cause analysis) and practical corrective actions. Ensure that the corrective actions are effectively implemented and tracked. Support all predictive technologies employed in the Open Pit maintenance group (Vibration, Oil analysis, Thermography, MineCare, etc.) Contribute to MSHA investigations when required. In addition, be involved with any remediation that may be required – associated with citations/recommendations from MSHA audits. Performs duties and activities in a manner that conforms to all safety practices and other policies, procedures and standards that are established by the company or required by law Performs additional duties as required
