Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and directing all maintenance activities. Also, the assistant manager is responsible for meeting maintenance targets.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct and manage assigned maintenance Group Leaders. Reports on daily activities and operation status. Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports on efficiency and team member training and skill level. Oversee GL and MTM training plan to achieve required skill level. Oversee activities to create and encourage a positive team environment. Create an action plan to achieve the maintenance downtime target. Establish and implement a preventative maintenance system. Create a system to prevent safety and environmental problems. Prepare and execute an action plan to achieve the yearly operation plan. Follow all emergency policies. Manage and monitor the purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material (including tools, subsidiary materials, oil, etc.). Develop and maintain a spare parts tracking system. Create and maintain an open door policy with team members and resolve problems in a timely efficient manner. Evaluate and mentor team members to encourage continuous improvement. Direct and manage assigned maintenance Group Leaders.
