About The Position
The UG Maintenance Foreman is responsible for supervising the maintenance and electrical functions in the assigned area of the mine. This role focuses on maintaining equipment in a ready and permissible condition to reduce downtime and enhance cost-effectiveness. The foreman will oversee the electrical system, ensuring it remains safe and operational, and will direct repair work to ensure efficient completion. Additionally, the foreman will supervise maintenance on both mobile and stationary equipment, maintain communication equipment, and conduct regular permissible checks on all electrical equipment. The position also involves overseeing a preventive maintenance program, ensuring compliance with legal and company reporting requirements, inspecting equipment regularly, ordering necessary parts and supplies, and participating in evaluating equipment for rebuilds or replacements.
