About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor at Hampton Inn & Suites Puyallup is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring that all facilities are in optimal condition for guests and staff. This role involves supervising preventative maintenance, managing work orders, and maintaining the hotel grounds and pool area. The supervisor will also play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork among staff members.

Requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance or engineering required.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and emergency shutoffs.
• Ability to assist guests and employees during emergencies.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by business demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise preventative maintenance of guest rooms and hotel facilities.
• Complete work orders and ensure timely completion of tasks to meet quality standards.
• Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best and take responsibility for their tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Assist management in providing necessary resources for employees to perform their jobs effectively.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment and assets as needed.
• Maintain hotel grounds, building exterior, and parking lot.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hotel guest rooms and equipment.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs to record meter readings and boiler temperatures.
• Provide written details of work performed on work order forms.
