About The Position

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department and outside building contractors. This role involves establishing goals, priorities, and evaluating the performance of staff to ensure maximum benefit from resources expended. The manager will create an empowered environment where the maintenance organization understands the business goals and has the necessary resources and support to achieve them. The position also requires establishing an environment that promotes open and friendly communication. Additionally, the manager will prepare and manage facility Capital Asset Project proposals, ensuring projects are planned properly and funds are utilized effectively. Responsibilities include strategic planning for capital investments, standardizing maintenance processes, managing risks related to regulatory compliance, and maintaining operating and capital budgets. The role demands strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable information.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of Maintenance & Manufacturing Leadership experience required.
  • Engineering Degree required.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering multi-million dollar projects.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret ladder logic diagrams.
  • Ability to write and modify PLC programs.
  • Computer literacy in CMMS, email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs and perform inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for waste disposal and facility permits.
  • Maintain operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop short- and long-term cost containment strategies.
  • Act as a safety leader and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate and manage special projects.
  • Perform statistical analysis and submit weekly reports.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence and maintain data accuracy.
