We are currently looking for a Engineering Intern at our Lakeland, FL office. The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026. Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and be willing to wear personal protective equipment based on process and food safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Second year engineering student or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Expect 50% of time engaging with staff members on the shop floor gathering information (process steps, relevant photos, safety requirements and other parameters) to develop new and modify existing procedures.
  • Expect 50% of time spent at a PC constructing procedures using Microsoft applications.
  • Any downtime from procedure development could be spent assisting with process or project engineering tasks.
  • Perform other duties as required
