Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of general facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Works well independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations
  • Working knowledge of computer and math skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
  • Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis
  • Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basis

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Engineer supports the general maintenance of the hotel.
  • Areas of responsibility include: painting, pools, flooring, doors, heating / cooling units, other general upkeep, and additional duties as assigned.
  • Responding to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
  • Providing value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Maintaining problem log book to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizing efforts accordingly
  • Reporting any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and taking immediate action to correct
  • Communicating effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors
  • Working with outside contractors as necessary to assist them in performing maintenance or construction projects
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations
  • Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service
  • Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems
  • Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
  • Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
  • Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest
