About The Position

Titan Florida LLC is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to work at the company's office in Jacksonville, FL. Will be responsible for analyzing the heavy equipment status, identifying trends in equipment downtime vs uptime, and creating plans for optimizing equipment maintenance schedules to proactively increase overall equipment uptime use efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent foreign degree.
  • 6 months of engineering maintenance experience in the cement, lime, or a related heavy industrial/manufacturing industry (intern experience is acceptable).
  • Experience in using and applying maintenance tools, including root cause failure analysis, vibration monitoring and reliability analysis.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, establish priorities, develop procedures and effectively solve problems.
  • Ability to lead teams to increase their productivity and efficiency to complete projects.
  • Strong planning, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of budgeting, planning, permitting, compliance, regulatory negotiations and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (DataStream/SAP).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and plan periodic maintenance schedules and track schedule adherence.
  • Plan equipment upgrades and machinery modifications.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, maintain statistical and financial records.
  • Work with Safety to ensure compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations regarding heavy equipment standards.
  • Manage stocks of supplies and equipment.
  • Develop engineering solutions to recurring failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.
  • Work with production team to perform analyses of assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, remaining useful life and other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and cost of assets.
  • Provide engineering support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
  • Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design and make/buy decisions.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and schedule repairs on complex industrial equipment and systems.
  • Implement continuous improvement programs for the operations.
  • Analyze critical equipment failures, investigate equipment breakdowns, utilize root cause failure analysis, monitoring the performance of equipment after repairs have been carried out, implement preventive measures and report results to appropriate personnel.
  • Support team and investigate ways to make maintenance duties efficient, effective, and economical.
  • Work with the maintenance planner on shutdown scheduling, part ordering, and service coordination, and create maintenance procedures.
