Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
  • Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment design.
  • Ensure work requests for critical equipment include engineering input on repair details.
  • Provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from repair data as necessary.
  • Document and make available repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training.
  • Support specification, identification, and purchasing of required parts.
  • Provide maintainability input into Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy.
  • Collaborate with Reliability Engineer to develop facility and equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Review History Feedback forms from Crafts for unusual findings.
  • Act as a technical resource to the planner and crafts as needed.
  • Update the MMS system for new equipment and changes based on project data.
  • Ensure scheduled services are entered into the MMS based on maintenance strategy.
  • Drive completion percentage of PPM tasks and report non-compliance PMs monthly.
  • Enter notifications for deficiencies discovered during PMs.
  • Manage PM deferral process for compliance-related PMs.
  • Evaluate documented results of PPM activities to assess effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize PPM intervals and evaluate impacts with Reliability Engineer.
  • Support projects and update spare parts requirements for new and demolished equipment.
  • Understand the economic impact of decisions related to the PPM program and spare parts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing facility.
  • Familiarity with Preventative maintenance strategy and activities.
