Job Summary:
Maintenance Engineer performs preventive and corrective maintenance of
equipment, systems and structures throughout the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent Required
• Two years institutional/commercial maintenance experience required
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems required
• Michigan Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, maintains, operates and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Performs major and minor maintenance work.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
• Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned.
• Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
• Assembles and relocates furniture.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
