About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Engineer for the Doubletree by Hilton Jacksonville Airport. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to start a career in facility maintenance. The position involves performing a variety of maintenance trade functions, including installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, painting, wall repair, tile work, and managing the preventative maintenance program of the hotel. The successful candidate will work closely with team members, providing friendly service to guests, vendors, and colleagues. Requirements

Experience working in a Maintenance role
Comfort using basic tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with the team
Knowledge of "household" repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
An engaging and welcoming personality
A strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
Available to work various shifts to include weekends and holidays
Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout duration of shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, house wiring and air conditioning systems, switches, fixtures and motors.
Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.
Make repairs to woodwork, wall vinyl, doors and window, carpeting, etc.
Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, automotive equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment.
Assists with preventative maintenance of guest rooms.
Help maintain the overall appearance and safety of the building and grounds.
Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures.
Maintains logs on completed tasks.
Prepares reports as requested by supervisors.
Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.
Provide friendly service when interacting with guests, vendors and team members.
