About The Position

Position Summary: This position assists the General Maintenance Supervisor with the maintenance of continuous miner (CW) and, or longwall (LW) machinery and equipment. In this hands-on-role, you will be assisting with the smooth operation and reliability of the CM and LW equipment so that high availability rates are maintained while meeting safety standards.Target Responsibilities: Accept, embrace, and promote the core values of Core Natural Resources: Safety, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement Ensure the company's "Absolute ZERO" safety culture is embedded in all worked performed. Provides expertise in the maintenance of underground equipment and machinery to support longwall and/or continuous miner sections.Provides assistance to the mine technical personnel with electrical and mechanical maintenance. This includes assisting the electrical or maintenance foreman in the maintenance of conveyor belt drives, tracking and communication systems, power distribution, and troubleshooting. This may include work with programmable logic controls and graphics.Provides support for preventative and predictive maintenance programs as well as continuous improvement.Performs maintenance on the following: Miners, Shuttle Cars, Feeder Breakers, Roof Bolters, Scoop Cars, Diesel and Electric ram cars. Water and Dewatering pump systems, Belt Drives, Conveyor Systems, Ventilation Fans, hoists and escape capsules. Electrical Systems, Power distribution systems, Communications and Safety monitoring systems, process control, etc. Orders parts & supplies as needed. May perform the duties of maintenance foreman due to absence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Requires High School Diploma or State Certified G.E.D.
• Requires minimum of two-year technical degree in electrical, electronic, instrumentation, or industrial technology or other military technical training.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires.
• Must be able to work other shifts as needed.
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Must be a detailed oriented person and be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment.
