About The Position

Location: Holiday Inn Resort FWB Pay Type: Hourly Pay starting at (based on experience): 15.00 USD We are looking to hire a skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain the establishment and hotel equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to install new equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment faults on site. You may also be required to remove old equipment and train staff on equipment operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
  • Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
  • Have a strong attention to details.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Patrols the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identifies potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
  • Maintains order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, coordinates expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
  • Inspecting equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
  • Removing old equipment and installing new machines.
  • Providing technical support and training on new equipment.
  • Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
  • Memorizes and monitors life safety system including accurate layout of entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, completes alarm reports, and checks and reports any pertinent information from each shift.
  • Provides accurate information to inquirers for directions and hours of operations.
  • Assists guests with door lock and in-room safe problems.
  • Responds to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions.
  • Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
