About The Position

Grand Valley Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with 5-7 years experience installing, repairing, trouble shooting, and making required updates or changes to established equipment. Role and Responsibilities: Responsible for predictive/preventative maintenance, including identification of assets, analysis of failure modes, implement condition monitoring tools, and setting up software for effective monitoring and control. Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagnostics and repair when troubleshooting machinery and/or during malfunctions/breakdowns. Perform new equipment installations, machine assessments, and calibrations. Prepare and present estimated costs on equipment, systems, and structures repair or replacement. Source and procure parts, tooling and/or equipment by contacting new or established vendors to acquire quotes, estimates, technical assistance, and information on new technology. Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and reports on daily activities. Utilize historical data for problem-solving. Work closely with other departments to find ways to improve machine performance and reliability on existing and new equipment. Act as a technical resource for identification and procurement of new assets. Duties may be changed, or additional duties assigned. Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing equipment maintenance and/or installations in an industrial setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or similar discipline of engineering a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electronic, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Able to read system schematics.
  • Advance troubleshooting, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Able to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manages time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets, data bases, and word processing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA and EPA guidelines and standards.
