Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production and facility equipment-including automated systems-to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Supports production by minimizing downtime, performing equipment installations, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in fasteners or metal forming.
  • Strong skills in automation, PLCs, ladder logic, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Skilled in minor machining or fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated systems.
  • Maintain and support automated production equipment including robotics, conveyors, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance on heading, threading, painting, packaging, and automation equipment.
  • Assist with setup, installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Support alignment and tooling adjustments during changeovers.
  • Provide operator support during runs.
  • Maintain air compressors, lighting, water systems, and perform facility inspections.
  • Accurately complete work orders, downtime logs, and maintenance records.
  • Communicate repair timelines with production leads.
  • Track usage of tools and parts; request reorders to avoid downtime.
  • Work with production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Train operators in basic troubleshooting and equipment care.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and support equipment performance enhancements.
  • Follow OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
  • Participate in safety programs, audits, and corrective actions.
