About The Position

The position involves full responsibility for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of an F&F mobile unit. The individual will be fully in charge of the assigned unit, performing regular cleaning and inventory checks, tracking and reporting equipment and system repair and maintenance status, and working collaboratively with fellow engineers to ensure follow-through on repairs, inventory, and updates. The role also includes providing guidance to maintenance engineers and solving broadcast issues as they arise, ensuring that client needs and requests are fully met. Flexibility and availability to work during various times, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends, is essential, along with extensive national travel. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Technical or B.S. in Electronics field or Engineering preferred, with various combinations of education and experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in television production technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
  • Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic, and other systems used in mobile television facilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in technical aspects of on-site television production with progressive broadcast equipment.
  • Ability to interface with clients and provide high-level service and support.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver license and a safe driving history, with a driving record check required.
  • Ability to travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot an F&F mobile unit.

  • Track and report equipment and system repair and maintenance status.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers on repairs and maintenance of the mobile unit.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance engineers.
  • Resolve broadcast issues as they arise, meeting client needs.
  • Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Travel extensively nationally for work-related duties.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
