About The Position

We’re hiring a Maintenance Engineer II to join our adaptable and supportive team. After an initial training period, the regular schedule for this role is 3rd shift (11pm – 7:30am EST/EDT) Monday through Friday, alternating weekends and holidays . Some overtime will be required due to weather events or other changing conditions. Light electrical work, underfloor box repairs, plumbing, and general maintenance duties should be expected in this role. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn our building management, work order, fire and monitoring systems. Our ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and be excited about on-the-job training for many skills (example: making circuit boards). This is an office-based role at our Corporate Offices in Chattanooga, TN.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year - Experience in energy management systems; card access equipment, and other large commercial environment equipment
  • 3 years - Relevant work experience required
  • Mechanical license, Electrical license or equivalent work experience required.
  • Strong background and thorough understanding of the operation of large HVAC systems, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, variable speed drives, pumps, motors, boilers, and UFAD components.
  • Understanding of commercial building control sequences; control parameters, and pre-defined alarm limits and causes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in other crafts plumbing; construction, i.e. Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems, HVAC.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support services for other departments' needs regarding facilities in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining log of incidents, accidents and other security and safety issues for reporting purposes.
  • Performing maintenance, repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment.
  • Monitoring various facility systems and performing routine tests on all equipment.
