Maintenance Engineer I - Full Time - Harrah's Gulf Coast
About The Position
Maintains all mechanical and cosmetic items in guest rooms and public areas. Monitors work load, and advises supervisor of work overload. Assists Engineers and Mechanics in repairs. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Engineering Shop. Prepares daily work forms. Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the Hotel and Casino, identifying potential problems, and resolving same. Responds to maintenance requests and house calls. Maintains pool facilities as assigned. Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the company. Qualifications MAINTAINS ALL MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC ITEMS IN GUEST ROOMS AND PUBLIC AREAS. MONITORS WORK LOAD, AND ADVISES SUPERVISOR OF WORK OVERLOAD. ASSISTS ENGINEERS AND MECHANICS IN REPAIRS. MAINTAINS A NEAT, CLEAN, AND ORGANIZED WORK AREA IN THE ENGINEERING SHOP. PREPARES DAILY WORK FORMS. ROUTINELY INSPECTS ALL LIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE HOTEL AND CASINO, IDENTIFYING POTENTIAL PROBLEMS, AND RESOLVING SAME. RESPONDS TO MAINTENANCE REQUESTS AND HOUSE CALLS. MAINTAINS POOL FACILITIES AS ASSIGNED. ENSURES A MAXIMUM LEVEL OF SERVICE AND SATISFACTION IS ACHIEVED AND MAINTAINED. MAINTAINS A WORKING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF ALL RULES, REGULATIONS AND CONTROLS OF THE COMPANY. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds The Associate is regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.
