About The Position

The Maintenance Engineer- Facilities plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of the physical infrastructure that supports Astemo's manufacturing processes. The purpose of this position is to ensure manufacturing processes allow the production departments to achieve daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality. This role will support plant operation through maintenance and improvement of facilities related equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years related work experience
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties
• Knowledge of CNC, PLC

Nice To Haves

• 2 year College Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent of work related experience.
• Working knowledge of Facilities related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vendor relations and drive to improve Facilities equipment thru replacement and updating of current equipment: 40%
• Maintain Accurate Documentation of Processes and Designs: 20%
• Provide Engineering Support to Production Departments: 10%
• Schedule and Coordinate Timely Preventive Maintenance of Equipment: 10%
• Work with New Model Engineering to Ensure New Equipment Meets Specifications: 10%
• Identify Cost-Savings and Quality Improvement Projects in Area: 10%
