About The Position

Support of plant issues that are impacting production over a short period of time. Acts as the technical expert responsible for resolving equipment based or repair technique-based issues, which impact the availability and maintainability of the facility. Serves as subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Performs regular field assessments of equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 2 - 5 years of manufacturing or related experience required
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized and creative.
  • Possess effective engineering leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills and proficiency in hardware and software development and troubleshooting.
  • Effective in designing process improvement projects; keeping up-to-date with latest developments in instrumentation technology and using this information to improve productivity and promote cost effectiveness.
  • Ability to work with others involved in a variety of functions including operators, maintenance technicians, engineers of various disciplines, management, and other leaders

Nice To Haves

  • Process Safety Management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of engineering changes and update necessary documents utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Assist in setting up, qualifying and maintaining equipment and machinery.
  • Design, maintain, and improve instrumentation equipment.
  • Devises specifications and in-depth documentation for their instrumentation designs.
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting issues and must keep current on latest technology.
  • Ensures field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks and interfaces are working properly.
  • Work with technicians, contractors, consulting firms and suppliers to integrate new technology into existing manufacturing systems.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
  • Supports and leads projects where E&I discipline is needed.
  • Acts as primary resource for all existing instrumentation equipment and initiatives.
