About The Position
To contribute to the Guest Satisfaction Policy of the hotel ensuring that all features of guest rooms as well as the hotel in general are in great working order, safe and attractive through an intensive preventive maintenance program At Hilton Ocala, the vision is "to create an environment where all associates are willing to accept empowerment and personal responsibility for providing superior customer service and hospitality through creating unique destination experiences for our guests." Requirements
- Must have a thorough knowledge of hand and carpentry tools
- Must be able to make repairs to basic electrical and plumbing systems, drywall patching and painting, room locking mechanisms, AC vents etc.
- Must be able to properly assess what materials are needed for assigned work
- Must be able to work and communicate with other maintenance personnel, other departments and guests
- Must be able to maintain flexible work schedule
- Must be able to speak English fluently, read and write
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly checks and repairs as needed the electrical systems such as television sets, lighting systems and electrical outlets
- Keeps HVAC units cleaned and in great working order
- Checks and makes repairs to general plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks and bathtubs
- Performs incidental duties as assigned
