MEC-Neillsville is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team. This position is crucial for maintaining the safety and quality standards of our metal fabricating equipment, which is used to create tubes of various shapes and metals. The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining both electrical and mechanical machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and safety regulations to establish standards and policies for the installation, modification, testing, and maintenance of equipment. The technician will work closely with other departments to provide technical support regarding process and equipment changes, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the technician will program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other forms of industrial automation. They will also be responsible for installing wiring circuits, switches, controls, and other electronic devices according to specifications. Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems and making timely repairs is essential to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency. The technician will identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to repair or upgrade equipment. Additionally, they will initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and machines, perform lock out/tag out procedures, and adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and guidelines. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
