We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electro Mechanic Technician with a strong industrial electricity background to join our team!

Position Summary
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year experience in electrical/electronic (LC, PLC5, Instrumentation/Controls, HMI, Industrial Electricity
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment
• High School diploma or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
• Able to inspect equipment and troubleshoot potential issues
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to write legibly to complete paperwork
• Basic Math skills
• Follow and comply with all safety standards
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependability
• Adherence to safety requirements and wearing required PPE
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to multi-task and be organized
• Pass all pre-employment screens, including drug, background and criminal checks

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food and beverage industry
• Five (5) years’ experience in maintenance role

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance (conduct preventative maintenance check-ups or read SPC charts and data) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas and compressed air required for operations).
• Repair malfunctioning machines and systems.
• Test and troubleshoot existing systems to reduce downtime.
• Document tests and report issues to supervisor.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standard.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Monitor parts and supplies inventory.  Report low supplies to supervisor.
• Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Utilize continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
• Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
